Hi my name is Nikki Craig and I grew up and lived in Stevenage from 1981 to 2001 and everytime I visit something has changed. I thought to myself on a recent visit to see my mother how cool it would be to take a trip back in time to see how it would have looked in the 80's.

Do you remember Stevenage in the 80's, I bet you don't really, you think you do ok do you remember these?

The old Cannon cinema opposite the swimming pool in St.Georges Way it closed down in 1994 to be replaced by what is now The Forum and then replaced by Cineworld in 1996.

The people symbol on the Gordan Craig theatre

The old Mega bowl and ice bowl where Dixons warehouse is now

Or do you remember what the Town Centre looked like before they built Westgate in 1988

If the answer is Yes! this is the website for you, it will take you on a historical jorney of what Stevenage would have looked like in the 1980's and what it looks like now.

Pictured above is the Icon building built in 1989, when viewed form above it forms the shape of an Eagle

Please come and visit my website on a regular basis as I am currently gathering images of all the old sites of Stevenage for you so please do come back soon!

Many Thanks Nikki
